From 4-6 PM this Sunday, July 22nd,
Lighten Up Yoga will be hosting the first 3ME Workshop in the Egg’s hometown of Asheville, NC. The cost is free to the first 20 locals who sign up. Teachers, studio owners, and students of all levels are encouraged to attend.
With the Three Minute Egg’s versatility there are many ways to incorporate them into your routine. The workshops are taught by owner and inventor Jason Scholder, who initially created the Egg for back pain relief. It has since caught on as one of the most versatile innovations in yoga since the sticky mat.
These workshops have a strong focus on alignment and introduce many unique applications of the Egg in a variety of yoga styles. Jason has a fun and playful style of teaching and a very simple motto – safety first.
This introductory course to the Three Minute Egg® will teach you how to properly hold, sit on, stand with, lay on and get comfortable maneuvering the Eggs — all while gaining insight into how and why they were invented. We will start with a seated meditation and end with Supta Baddha Konasana. For those who don’t know what that means, it’s a pose so comfortable you won’t ever want to get up. In between we’ll do a handful of standing, seated and prone postures teaching basic Egg principles and why they matter.
Most recently Yoga Harmony Nashville hosted Jason for a 3ME Workshop, which was a great success. Check out this blog for a photo gallery and recap from Jason’s weekend there.
As one of the first 3ME Workshops there will be video footage and photographs captured throughout the event. For those who wish for privacy, there will be a section of the room that will be out of the camera’s view.
Because there is a limited space, attendants are asked to please register early and be sure to cancel if they cannot attend. We don’t want to turn anyone away just to find out there was still space.
Please contact Ashley McClelland by email at workshops@threeminuteegg.com or by phone at (828) 338-9344.

Surprised I haven’t seen the egg show up yet at any studios in the Philly area
Well maybe today is the day!
There are at least 2 yoga studios with Eggs in Philly. Joan White’s Iyengar Institute and Jai Yoga. Perhaps you’d like to help make it 3?
Is there a good online course for learning
Yoga?
we have great videos on our videos page that teach you how to do yoga with our Eggs. There are lots of other online places to learn yoga, like yogaglo.com
