These days, you can find Marianne Wells in The Goddess Garden of Cahuita, Costa Rica, home of the Marianne Wells Yoga School. Along the path of a small, winding creek among the gentle jungle trees, Marianne fosters a rigorously spiritual environment, helping teachers-in-training find the path that speaks to them as they embark on their unique and personal journey. Her yoga teacher certification programs are some of the most comprehensive in the world.

With a strong background in both teaching and motivational speaking, it comes as no surprise that Marianne’s approach to her trainings are just as much philosophical as they are methodical. Her offerings include a 200RYT Yoga Alliance Teacher Training, as well as 500 RYT & IAYT Yoga Therapy Trainings. Students travel from over 30 countries seeking her guidance. It’s not only asanas, pranayamas and mudras they are seeking – but also a completeness of mind, body and spirit. Through her instruction students gain a deepened sense of spirituality, realizing the value of self in one’s own instruction as well as recognizing that of the students, gauging and evolving what’s essential for them to learn.
Marianne’s intuition and insight translate beyond (more…)

As a child, we look to our mothers for guidance. As a student, we follow our teachers as mentors. Graydon Moffat is both. Deemed
the “Yummy Yoga Mummy of Toronto” by a local newspaper years ago, the name has stuck ever since. And appropriately so.
Like many first-time mothers, Graydon suffered from sleep deprivation and anxiety during her son’s first few years. It was then that Restorative Yoga really shined through, finally enabling her to relax enough to fall into a deep slumber once again. “Holding deep poses for a long time felt good,” she says, “especially after periodic diaper changes and other unconventional times.” (more…)

Getting started in yoga wasn’t easy for me. My biggest obstacle was simply summoning up the courage to walk through the door. For years I shunned the yoga world in favor of a gym membership, only to traumatize my spine with a slipped disc after overexerting myself on a weight machine. One surgery later I was miraculously able to sit, stand, and walk again without any nerve pain. My medically-restored mobility, however, came at the expense of my flexibility.
My doctor prescribed for me a daily yoga and pilates regimen. While I was curious to try it, my fears descended upon me each time I arrived at the studio. I’d walk into a class and position myself strategically toward the back of the room. My goal was to avoid judgment from those who seemingly conquered any posture with ease, while I struggled simply to touch my toes. My silent need to compete with the advanced yogis who surrounded me blinded me to the (more…)

I immediately fell in love with the Eggs when I received them last Wednesday. Your Three Minute Eggs are well made and well designed. The shape, texture and weight of each Egg invites the body to trust its surface!
I am an Occupational Therapist in private practice in San Francisco. I am a yoga student, but not a yoga teacher. I work with young children, school age children, adolescents, and young adults. My clients usually present with developmental, motor, attention and often learning disorders. The severity of their challenges range from mildly evident to very significant and in many cases they possess good to gifted intelligence. I have also followed several autistic students from preschool to young adulthood.
I use yoga as a “therapeutic modality” in my work together with other therapeutic tools as I address (more…)

I feel a combination of gratitude and astonishment when people review the Three Minute Egg® and have this many positive things to say. I of course think it’s a great product, but I’m supposed to feel that way. I invented it! When other people take the time to share their thoughts and recommendations, all I can say is, “Thank you.” So today I am saying a belated ‘Thank you’ to Yoga Deals for doing such a nice write-up on my product. If you have anything you’d like to add, please do! And please share this with your yoga community. I really appreciate it!
design within stretch – three minute egg – product review
the three minute egg is the new block on the mat, but what’s with the name? according to the founder and ‘recovering’ furniture maker, jason (aka creative dude with a bad back), the name was hatched (i couldn’t resist) because of the “great benefits [that] can come from a practice where one holds challenging poses for up to 3 minutes & restorative poses for at least 3 or more.” jason also mentioned, that we should be on the lookout for… (more…)

Chakra Value -- $108
Every once in a while, someone creates a yoga product that makes so much sense, it’s hard to believe it wasn’t always around. This is most certainly the case with the Three Minute Egg®.
Like most skeptics, when I first saw the Three Minute Egg®, I didn’t imagine it would have so much to offer — or at least not so much to offer me. It didn’t take long to convinc and convert me. There is a bit of a learning curve associated with using the Egg, but the time spent is well worth the benefits gained. Jason Scholder (owner/inventor of the Three Minute Egg) brought two yoga instructors with him to the most recent New York Yoga and Raw Food Expo. The three of them spent three days offering private yoga instruction as well as three free workshops. I spent a solid half hour being led through a sequence of blissful supportive postures, and kept looking for excuses to wander back by their booth.
The Three Minute Egg® is (more…)

Joyce bought the Eggs-travaganza in Tibetan Orange
Every once is a while, someone writes me a review of the Three Minute Egg which is simply too good not to share. So I hope you’ll pardon the indulgence, but I’m going to post her review of the Eggs here on my blog. I would encourage any and all of you to send me your thoughts on the Eggs. You can do so using the contact page. I’ll post them here or somewhere. Thank you Joyce!
(Believe it or not, we live in the same town but have never met….)
If you are hesitating, don’t. I am so glad I bought this product. I find the Three Minute Egg incredible. (more…)

I invented the Three Minute Egg 4 years ago, almost to the day! It has been an amazing ride so far, and as you now know, I didn’t get here alone.
When I first made the Three Minute Egg, it was out of wood — because wood was what i knew. It didn’t take long to realize foam was a better solution. It is lighter, more forgiving, and gentler on the body. It’s probably a good thing I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I created the Egg. I might never have done it!
I am continually humbled and encouraged by people’s response to this product. People who use the Three Minute Egg don’t just like it, they LOVE IT! I can’t believe the emails, phone calls, and testimonials people write — sometimes without even being asked! I am infinitely grateful to everyone who makes the Eggs a part of their practice, and doubly so for sharing their experiences with me.
What’s your story?
